Zurich Unit to Provide Service Warranties for Claim, Risk Engineering Services
Here's how the service warranties work: Zurich U.S. works with the customer to develop customized service agreements, which are committed to writing. Zurich Service Corporation agrees to a requirement only if Zurich U.S. can live up to that requirement.
Zurich Service Corporation executes the service plan. If the company does not meet the goals as stated in the service contract, the customer decides, in good faith, on an appropriate penalty as agreed upon in the service contract.
On the risk engineering side, the warranty guarantees agreed-upon levels of service, which can include timely visits to customers' facilities and quick turnaround times on risk engineering reports and construction plan reviews. "We offer a risk engineering service warranty for a simple reason: We have experienced and responsive risk engineers who are willing to put their work on the line in the form of service warranties," said Dave Schmitz, Zurich U.S. risk engineering director.
On the claim service side, the warranty deals with agreed-upon timely inspections of damaged property, ongoing and consistent dialogue with the customer and quick payment of claims following a resolution. "We offer world-class claim service," said Joe Kerkhoff, Zurich U.S. manager of national account property claims. "Now we guarantee what we've been talking about. These warranties show our strength of service, and how committed we are to serving our customers."
"We're in the business of delivering on our promises, and that's what these service warranties are about," said Greg Maguire, Zurich U.S. Property executive vice president. "We believe we offer the industry's best risk engineering and claim services, and our warranties are proof of our conviction and commitment."
Claim services and risk engineering services are provided by Zurich Services Corporation. The risk engineering warranty applies to unbundled risk engineering services performed on properties in the United States and the District of Columbia. The claim service warranty applies to losses in the United States and the District of Columbia.
