Y2K Problem Solved? Celebrate Twice On $40,000 Tour

Air France and Concorde Spirit Tours have announced their Millennium II Air France Concorde charter tour, featuring an 11-day itinerary that commences with two New Year's Eve 1999 celebrations—the first in Paris and the second in New York City—and continues on with stopovers in Hawaii and Mexico.

The package, priced at $39,800 per person, double-occupancy, includes air transportation from the U.S. to Charles de Gaulle International Airport in Paris on Dec. 28, 1999 and return from New York/JFK to home cities on Jan. 7, 2000. Travel is aboard an Air France Concorde "Millennium II" charter flight between Paris, New York, Vancouver (fuel-stop), Hawaii and Mexico. Hotel accommodations in each stopover city is included, as are all meals, plus comprehensive sightseeing excursions in Paris, on the "Big Island" of Hawaii and in Acapulco.

This journey is scheduled to depart Paris at 30 minutes after midnight on Jan. 1, 2000 and arrive at JFK International Airport at 9:55 pm on Dec. 31, 1999. Passengers will be transferred by helicopter or coach to Manhattan, in time to see the ball drop in New York's famous Times Square. After staying overnight in New York City, participants will be whisked, Concorde-style, to Hawaii for three nights and Acapulco for another trio of nights, before returning to New York on Jan. 7, 2000.

The trip will be hosted by Apollo X/Apollo-Soyuz astronaut, Commander Tom Stafford, who will recount his Apollo lunar-orbital and other space adventures.
