Web-enabled Facultative Submission System
The system was developed for CNA Re, a property and casualty facultative reinsurer. According to the developer, the system allows underwriters to forward property and inland marine, auto liability, general liability and umbrella liability submissions to the reinsurer's underwriters. The new system also permits users to submit, bind, endorse and review facultative activities online with the reinsurer.
Clients first place their underwriting information into four distinct templates. This information is then directed to an underwriter. The developer states that the system gives users access to all of their submissions at any time, allows users to view each individual facultative quote, and has the functionality to bind and endorse an account.
System features also include a "remote control" (pictured here) that allows users to "click on" to useful tools that can assist them in the underwriting process, a tutorial on system usage, a help desk that is available via email or phone, and an online branch locator tool.
