USI Expands Gulf Coast Presence
USI Insurance Services Corp. has announced the affiliation of three Louisiana property/casualty insurance and employee benefits firms. Joining the USI brokerage network are deMontluzin-Spatz & Associates of Metairie; Technical Risks of Louisiana of New Orleans; and Boyd A. Williams & Associates, Inc. of Metairie.
They link up with USI's Louisiana hub, Houma-based Coastal Insurance Services, Inc./USI. USI is the nation's seventh largest diversified insurance and financial services distribution network.
Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
Organized in 1975, deMontluzin-Spatz is a life insurance and employee benefits firm that specializes in business life insurance for estate, tax and financial planning and employee benefits, including qualified and non-qualified retirement plans. According to Ed deMontluzin, partner, affiliation with USI will permit the firm to expand the scope of its services to clients regionally, nationally and internationally. "Our USI affiliation provides expanded resources, pricing advantages in competitive markets, and the ability to offer clients with one-stop shopping for the full range of their financial services and insurance needs," he says.
Technical Risks is a full-service property-casualty firm which has specialized in marine and energy insurance. The firm has access to a wide array of markets designed to place the unique risks associated with contractors, oilfield and other specialized businesses.
