USAA Selects SS&C Product For Evaluating Dynamic Financial Analysis
SS&C Technologies, Inc. and Ernst & Young Consulting announced that USAA has selected SS&C's Finesse 2000 system for evaluating the implementation of Dynamic Financial Analysis (DFA). Using Finesse 2000's accounting infrastructure and open architecture, Ernst & Young is customizing the model to match USAA's unique consolidation structure.
The system will incorporate portfolio data from CAMRA 2000, SS&C's asset management, reporting and accounting system, and apply economic scenarios generated by SS&C's 5-factor capital markets model. Using multiple computer processors for high performance, the system will allow USAA to simulate the behavior of its assets and liabilities under thousands of economic scenarios, and be capable of unattended processing of up to 50 asset-allocation strategies. "We believe Finesse 2000 will give us the ability to strategically analyze the implications of asset allocation strategies, and will enable us to further improve returns while managing our underwriting and financial risk," said Susan Evers, senior financial officer of USAA's Property and Casualty Insurance Group.
