Underwriters Laboratories Presents Seminar On Electromagnetic Compatibility

Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) will present a two-day seminar entitled "Electromagnetic Compatibility: Planning for Compliance in the U.S., Europe and Japan," on August 13 and 14 in Melville, NY.

The EMC seminar covers global trade factors that must be considered to maximize trade potential and plan for effective certification in target markets. In addition, the seminar offers current information about regulatory issues as well as new technical topics.

This seminar is designed for both engineering and regulatory technical professionals as well as decision-makers, regulatory engineers, compliance engineers and technical sales professionals. Participants will gain new understanding about EMC test criteria that influence product design and selection of appropriate standards for emissions and immunity. Seminar attendees will also go inside UL's state-of-the-art EMC testing lab for a first-hand look at what's involved in product testing. In addition, participants will receive course materials, which include copies of the FCC Part 14 Low Power Transmitter Table, guidelines on the Application of Council Directive 89/336/EEC and related directives.
