Trumbull Offers Patented Collections/Subrogation System
Trumbull Services, L.L.C., a Windsor, CT-based provider of outsourcing services for the insurance and financial industries, has been granted patent number 5,991,733 from the U.S. Patent Office for technology surrounding a system the company uses for collecting overdue insurance premiums and subrogation claims.
The system uses computer logic and special "Data Mines" to accurately predict the outcome of cases it handles. Using this intelligence, the system can call up custom scripts, automate the work queue and generate documents based on its ability to select the methods that have worked best for each type of case, the company says.
"Making decisions from objective data based on past results dramatically improves the efficiency of managing all types of collection cases," said Alan Aleia, Trumbull's vice president of Financial Services. According to the company, an improvement is the way the system allows workers to interact more with customers and debtors, rather than spend time and energy searching archives and records.
The benefits of using this system go beyond the collection business. "The system is valuable as a supervisory aid with tools like diary management, supervisory escalation and customized management reports," said Aleia. "The system streamlines the work day with workload distribution management capabilities."
It also handles the daily business of automating work queues, flash-generating documents and correspondence and providing custom scripts that help case workers resolve disputes. The system can be customized for client needs.
The patented system is the backbone of Trumbull Services' collection and subrogation services. Trumbull, acting as an application service provider (ASP), brings insurance companies in all 50 states access to its collection and subrogation system.
