Transatlantic Re In Exclusive Rep Arrangement In South Africa

Transatlantic Reinsurance Co., a subsidiary of Transatlantic Holdings, Inc, announced that it has entered into an exclusive arrangement to be represented in South Africa by Johannesburg-based Hefler St. Clair & Associates. The firm is managed by Ralf Hefler, who brings with him over twenty-five years of insurance and reinsurance experience and has extensive contacts within the broker and ceding company communities.

Commenting on this arrangement, Robert F. Orlich, president and chief executive officer, said, "We are extremely pleased to be represented in South Africa by Hefler St. Clair & Associates.
