Training Tools for Claims Management Software

Digital Documentation Systems, Inc. (DDS)y offers several multimedia and printed training tools for the DDS Multi-Line Pro, a multi-line, Windows-based claims management software package designed for use by Property, Casualty, Contents, ALE, and Flood estimators.

Estimating and Reporting (pictured here) is a three-CD training suite that includes both text-based and audio-visual lessons. The three CDs are designed to cover the claims software including estimate writing, report packaging, captioned reporting, diagramming, working with digital images, and more.

The manufacturer also offers a user's manual, which was developed to cover aspects of their multi-line software that includes diagramming, captioned reports, report packages, estimate writing, digital images, and accounting

The Quickstart Training CD includes over 60 help topics and several instructional videos. It also contains end-of chapter exercises and answer keys to monitor a user's progress. According to the manufacturer, it is one of the fastest ways to learn the software package.

Finally, the manufacturer has available a training workbook designed to help users write claims with the software. This training tool includes step-by-step instructions for over 60 topics, end-of-chapter exercises, program quick tips, screen shots, and a topical index. The workbook uses a residential property claim as its tutorial example, while noting the differences between writing a residential and commercial property claim.
