The Hartford Offers D&O Liability Coverage

The Hartford will offer Directors and Officers (D&O) liability insurance to its mid-size and small commercial customers through an exclusive agreement with Executive Risk, a leader in executive liability insurance. D&O coverage protects directors and officers from lawsuits brought by clients, customers, competitors and creditors for financial and other types of mismanagement.

Under the agreement, The Hartford will underwrite, issue, market and distribute through its 5,000 independent agents D&O liability policies for the company's customers.

Bill Stanway, president, Hartford Commercial, says, "This agreement will help us partner with agents to grow business with existing customers and to capitalize on new opportunities with organizations seeking to obtain all their business insurance from one source."
