StormGuard and StormGuard Online have been expanded offer services that include answering travelers' questions about winter weather and travel insurance and providing tips to help them prepare for severe winter weather.

StormGuard, which began as a consumer hurricane and tropical storm information resource, is a toll-free, around-the-clock consumer hotline staffed by representatives to provide information to travelers regarding insurance coverage for trips cancelled or interrupted due to severe winter weather.

StormGuard Online is a dedicated area on the developer's website that provides similar travel insurance information. It also features winter travel tips and up-to-the-minute winter storm information via links to major weather and storm prediction websites including the National Weather Service, The Weather Channel and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). In addition, the site offers links to winter sports and recreation facilities.
