TECH21
Source: Fiserv SIS (Specialty Insurance Service)
TECH21 is the Fiserv strategy to meet the varying needs of multiple distribution channels through a consistent technology. TECH21 uses ACORD XML standards and comprehensive set of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to support interactive sessions for P&C policy, billing and claims processing.
Tech 21 Technology is an evolutionary upgrade to The Specialty System.
Tech 21 operates in an n-tiered application model to support Internet and Intranet activities utilizing the reliability and comprehensive functionality of The Specialty System
ACORD XML standards are used to access an inclusive set of Application Programming Interfaces (API's) to support interactive sessions for policy, billing and claims.
A Fiserv SIS User Interface for claims processing is in developement. User interface developement for policy and billing is custom for each client's branding.
Tech21 consists of the following:
* eALPS(All Lines Processing System)- API's for policy transactions
* eIBS (Insurance Billing System) - API's for billing transactions
* eCMS (Claims Management System) - API's for claims transactions
- User Interface for eCMS API's
eALPS and eIBS allow your agents (or insureds) access to functionality based on client-defined security in the User Interface and ?The Specialty System. Clients may choose custom browser-based frontends that can be easily intergrated with The Specialty System using e-ALPS and eIBS. Fiserv SIS has established relationships with vendors that have frontend solutions using the ACORD XML protocol. The result is a variety of choices for your custom User Interface.
Fiserv SIS is developing eCMS, a point of service system, including a User Interface, for claims processing. Features and functions are based on input from market analysis and our clients.
eCMS will allow your agent (or consumer) to enter First Report of Loss and track a claim. You may also provide access to outside investigators, attorneys or others who work with claims. Because ACORD XML protocols for claims are still under discussion, the inital release of eCMS will use a properitary XML protocol. We plan to move to the ACORD XML when it is released.
