Sprinkler Association Endorses Insurance Program
The Hartford's insurance program for fire sprinkler contractors, which targets sprinkler contractors who design, fabricate, install, inspect and maintain water-based sprinkler systems, has received an endorsement from the National Fire Sprinkler Association (NFSA).
"We selected The Hartford because it has an expertise in our industry, including a comprehensive risk management and safety program," noted John Viniello, president of the NFSA, an association of fire sprinkler system contractors, suppliers and manufacturers, which was formed in 1905.
"This is a unique opportunity to provide a valuable service to the NFSA's members by partnering our proven risk management and safety skills with the NFSA's professional and technical expertise," explains Billy Boguski, cost containment manager for The Hartford's commercial specialty programs.
The Hartford says a new endorsement to its policy provides design and installation errors and omissions (E&O) coverage to serve the needs of its program participants. Also available is an endorsement for limited pollution coverage at worksites, which covers such situations as accidental pollution allegedly arising from chemicals brought to the jobsite by the insured.
The Hartford's Fire Sprinkler Contractors Program provides broadened liability coverage for property damage to borrowed equipment and for products and completed operations. The inclusion of additional insureds where required by contract is automatic under the liability coverage, with no reporting requirement or premium charge.
The Hartford's program is offered in partnership with RelMark Program Managers (Exton, PA), a program administrator and wholesaler. The program is available in every state except Alaska and Hawaii. It is open to all agents and brokers whose business meets the program's underwriting requirements.
