RLI Promotes Stone To Executive VP

Peoria-based RLI Corp. has promoted Michael J. Stone to executive vice president of RLI Insurance Group. He assumes overall responsibility for underwriting, branch operations and claims.

Stone has served RLI as senior vice president of claims since May and had been RLI vice president of claims since joining RLI in 1996.

"Mike's demonstrated leadership and expertise has been instrumental to the development of our excellent claims function," said RLI Insurance Group President Jonathan E. Michael. "He has been a key member of our executive management team since his arrival at RLI and he has earned respect within RLI and throughout the industry."

Stone joined RLI after 19 years at The Travelers, where he had been vice president of claims. Driscoll, who was promoted to assistant vice president in May, also joined RLI in 1996. He has served RLI as coverage and casualty claims director and has supervised all RLI home office casualty claims functions.
