RapidRMIS is an implementation methodology designed to facilitate the transition to new risk management functionality. RapidRMIS is a project management template for planning, executing, tracking, and documenting the many tasks and subtasks involved in risk management technology transformation. The modular design allows the flexibility to utilize selected components of the implementation model based on client needs, while ensuring that all critical elements of the project are addressed. With more RMIS projects involving 2, 3, or even 4 different vendors, the RMIS/Lab team feels that the use of RapidRMIS is especially critical to ensure proper accountability and assignment of tasks for internal and external responsibility areas.

Phase 1 - Scoping: This initial phase includes defining the business and technology objectives for the project and developing a map for meeting them. The project scope and plan are also developed, and the project is launched.

Phase 2 - Visioning: This phase involves development of the initial vision of how the new technology will enable the business processes.

Phase 3 - Designing: The Designing phase involves documentation of the business process, definition of the system customization and configuration needs, and preparation for system configuration and testing.

Phase 4 - Configuring: This phase involves monitoring the system configuration and customization processes, and preparing for the final system tests.

Phase 5 - Testing: This phase involves tests to validate the integration of the business processes into the production RMIS, assess data integrity, and coordinate systems acceptance.
