In 1979, after years of programming and technical experience, Joe Rackley decided to embark on a venture of his own. Years earlier, he graduated from Vanderbilt University with an engineering degree which led him to a position with NASA. After gaining vast programming knowledge, Joe joined his father in the insurance business for the next nine years. This sparked his imagination for a business that would change his life.

Joe Rackley designed and programmed a comparative rating system used on Radio Shack computers. Developed for the independent agents, the INSURORS of Tennessee assisted Rackley in his marketing efforts in Tennessee. Since that time, Rackley Systems has introduced the rating system in all 50 states. The Rackley rating system is endorsed by eight state associations throughout our territory.
