Prudential Reduces Rates for California Drivers
Prudential Property and Casualty Insurance Company is reducing auto insurance rates in California by an average of 12.3 percent as of July 17 and a variety of other discounts may help to lower Prudential premiums for California drivers even further.
"We're delighted to lower prices for our auto policyholders in California for the second time in seven months," says Tom Crawford, president, Prudential Property and Casualty. "Prudential last reduced rates by an average of 8 percent in December 1997.
"Not only are we offering lower prices, but our customers will find we've made terrific improvements to our customer service," Crawford continues. "State of the art technology enhances our claims handling process and makes it easier for our customers to do business with usand that's our primary goal."
Other discounts that may reduce Prudential premiums further for Californian drivers include the Companion for Life and the Companion Policy discounts. The Companion for Life discount, which can lower premiums by up to 5 percent in certain cases, benefits those customers who have both auto and life policies with Prudential. Similarly, the Companion Policy discounts up to 10 percent those customers who have auto and home insurance policies with Prudential and up to 15 percent those customers who have auto, life and home coverage with the company.
Policyholders may also receive discounts for driver education, good student, good driver, mature driver, and insuring multiple cars. In addition, Prudential also offers discounts to policyholders who insure their cars with the company for three consecutive years or more.
