'Protect the Enterprise!' - Computer Security Seminar to be Held in Fort Lauderdale
This free seminar is designed to educate organizations about the threats to corporate information from Internet vandalism. In today's environment, companies that are using the Internet need to be aware of the risks that are inherent when connecting their private information network to the public Internet. These risks include destruction of data from viruses, theft and misuse of data from hackers, and aggressive vandal attacks on internal corporate resources. The seminar will focus on proven methodologies for counteracting these risks.
Firewall technology, along with integrated virus and URL screening software solutions will be featured. In addition, a live demonstration of hacker techniques and vandals used to compromise systems will be given. This demonstration will use methods and software that are readily available from the Internet to show specific exploits such as password sniffing, denial-of-service attacks, Java and Active X hostiles, and virus delivery. Solutions on how to counteract these common problems will also be discussed.
