Professionals Group Announces Death Of Chairman

Victor T. Adamo, president and CEO of Professionals Group, Inc., announced that Board Chairman Dr. W. Peter McCabe died Monday in an automobile accident. He was 58.

Dr. McCabe served as chairman of Professionals Group from its inception in 1996 and as a board member of PICOM Insurance Company, the predecessor of Professionals Group, since 1980. McCabe was a prominent plastic surgeon practicing in Grosse Pointe, MI, serving primarily on the medical staff of Saint John Hospital, Detroit, where he was also a member of the Hospital Board. McCabe also was a past chairman and president of the Michigan State Medical Society.

Victor Adamo stated, "We are all saddened at the death of Dr. McCabe. We will greatly miss his leadership and guidance, his keen sense of humor, and the personal qualities that he brought to all of his endeavors. We offer our heartfelt condolences to his wife and family."
