PIWA Celebrates 30 Years Of Service To The Insurance Industry

Glenmont, NY - The Professional Insurance Wholesalers Association of New York State Inc. will host its 30th Anniversary Celebration, Oct. 30, at the Battery Gardens Restaurant, New York. The dinner event, being held in lieu of the association's traditional fall convention, will mark PIWA's three decades of service to the insurance wholesaler community.

"For 30 years, PIWA has represented and fought for the interests of insurance wholesale professionals throughout New York state," said Gary Ricker, president of PIWA. "We're proud of the work we've done throughout the years and look forward many more years of success."

The highlight of the evening will be a keynote address by Daniel F. Maher, Esq., executive director and chief operating officer of the Excess Line Association of New York. Maher, a key proponent of the excess-line industry, will present a retrospective of the business during the past 30 years, including PIWA's unique influence.

Additionally, the dinner also will feature an awards/scholarship presentation, networking reception and the annual board of directors/company meeting. Registration begins at 6 p.m.; the program begins at 7:30 p.m.
