NYSID Superintendent Wrynn To Speak At PIANY's MetroRAP

Brooklyn, NY - New York State Insurance Department Superintendent James J. Wrynn, will address members of the insurance industry at the Professional Insurance Agents of New York State Inc.'s annual Metropolitan Regional Awareness Program. The program will be held Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, at the New York Marriott, Brooklyn, N.Y.

Wrynn, who was confirmed for the superintendent post in September 2009, will keynote the conference and give participants a regulatory forecast for 2010.

"We look forward to Superintendent Wrynn's perspective on the current issues affecting the insurance business throughout New York state," said Leslie Rogoff, MetroRAP committee chair. "As an industry expert, his insight will be particularly interesting for RAP attendees."

Wrynn will make his remarks during the keynote luncheon, where the MetroRAP Industry Professional of the Year, Executive of the Year and the Distinguished Insurance Service awards will be presented. Additionally, the Bernard I. Kozel and Arthur I. Moll Scholarships will be awarded.

Participants looking for continuing education credits at this year's MetroRAP will have the option of attending Workers' compensation—Crossing state lines in the morning, hosted by Ivan Cohen, CRM, CIC, AAI, CPIA. In the afternoon, Cohen will instruct E&O loss prevention for insurance agents and brokers.

Other highlights of the daylong event include an expansive trade show and the New York Young Insurance Professionals' networking reception.
