Executive Risk is offering a NewsMedia Liability policy that departs from the traditional "named perils" -only coverage—such as libel, invasion of privacy and copyright infringement—to offer news organizations protection against a wide variety of legal claims beyond those listed in traditional media coverage. The policy covers risks that arise directly out of the core functions of news organizations: gathering information and communicating that information to the public.

The policy also offers several enhancements that allow the policy to be tailored to the organization's needs. These features include Subpoena Protection and Multimedia Coverage for Media Conglomerates.
