National Insurance Crime Bureau Selects Bridgeline iAPPS As SaaS Platform For Enterprise Web Initiatives

Boston, TX - Bridgeline Software, Inc., a developer of SaaS-based web application management software and award-winning web applications, announced recently that the National Insurance Crime Bureau (``NICB'') has selected Bridgeline's iAPPS Framework, iAPPS Content Manager, and iAPPS Analytics as the platform for their enterprise web initiatives, including their heavily trafficked public and member websites at http://www.nicb.org. The iAPPS Framework and Product Suite are innovative SaaS solutions that unify Content Management, Analytics, eCommerce, and eMarketing capabilities - enabling business users to swiftly enhance and optimize the value of their web properties. NICB selected the SaaS - Software-as-a-Service - iAPPS licensing option and therefore will contract with Bridgeline to manage and maintain the nicb.org website within Bridgeline's state-of-the-art managed services hosting environment. Additionally, Bridgeline is also designing and developing the website and associated applications.

The National Insurance Crime Bureau is the nation's premier not-for-profit organization dedicated exclusively to preventing, detecting and defeating insurance fraud and vehicle theft. NICB receives support from over 1,000 property/casualty insurance companies and partners with insurers and law enforcement agencies to facilitate the identification, detection, and prosecution of insurance criminals. NICB is well-known for their Hot Wheels publication, an annual list of the nation's top ten most stolen automobiles.

After experiencing unreliable performance from previous content management systems, NICB selected Bridgeline's iAPPS as the most comprehensive solution to its business needs. ``NICB requires enterprise-wide database integration and multi-point content management access without performance degradation and we feel Bridgeline can deliver on both,'' says Frank Scafidi, Director of Public Affairs at NICB. ``We have had an existing relationship with Bridgeline for several years now and they have always delivered effective technology solutions both from a design and development perspective. We're excited to partner with them on this content management initiative.''

The heaviest use of nicb.org is within the Member section. Fraud investigators at NICB's one thousand plus member insurance companies use the website in support of their investigation work. Bridgeline will assist NICB with streamlining and improving the search capabilities of one of the Member section's most utilized features - ForeWARN(sm) Alerts. ForeWARN Alerts contain information that notify NICB member companies of questionable activity of which NICB has knowledge and that could affect the insurance industry. These alerts could warn member companies of fraud patterns that are emerging in certain parts of the country or could provide updates on current NICB cases and action taken within these cases. Improving the search capabilities around ForeWARN Alerts will greatly improve the usefulness of the website to member companies, as will integrated RSS feed that site users can subscribe to. Additionally, NICB will use the capabilities of iAPPS Analytics to monitor ForeWARN Alert usage to help detect additional patterns of interest in certain insurance fraud related topics.

iAPPS Content Manager and product suite offers NICB website administrators remote authoring capabilities employing a simple user interface and easy-to-use functionality. Content owners can quickly update and customize content for new affiliate firms or other corporate communication needs. With iAPPS Content Manager, non-technical staff can manage and deliver content to any web interface from virtually any source to ensure the right content is delivered at the right time, to the right audience. And for administrators, iAPPS provides centralized control and management over site structure and content, workflow, and user access rights.
