Moor Elected Executive Vice President Of AIG's Domestic General Insurance Operations
American International Group, Inc. (AIG) has announced that Kristian P. Moor, AIG senior vice president-Domestic General Insurance and chairman and chief executive officer of AIG's National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, PA, has been elected AIG executive vice president-Domestic General Insurance. Mr. Moor will have senior management responsibility for AIG's Domestic Brokerage Group, which markets property-casualty insurance products and services through brokers in the United States. He will also remain chairman of National Union.
Mr. Moor joined AIG in 1981 and served as president of National Union's Management Liability Division before becoming National Union president in 1995. In 1997 he was elected AIG senior vice president-Domestic General Insurance.
In addition, John Cavoores, who joined National Union as president and chief operating officer earlier this year, succeeds Mr. Moor as chief executive officer of National Union. Mr. Cavoores came to AIG from Chubb and Son, Inc. where he was most recently executive vice president and managing director with responsibility for Chubb's insurance operations outside the United States. He spent 20 years at Chubb in a variety of management positions.
