Kusumi Named Executive Vice President Of Personal Lines For GMAC Insurance Holdings, Inc.

GMAC Insurance Holdings, Inc. and Integon Corporation have announced that Gary Y. Kusumi, a 17- year veteran of the insurance business, has been named Executive Vice President for Personal Lines at GMAC Insurance Holdings, Inc. and President and CEO of Integon Corporation, the nonstandard automobile insurance operation of GMAC Insurance Holdings, Inc. Kusumi will report to Donald P. Redmond, President and CEO for Personal Lines at GMAC Insurance Holdings, Inc.

In making the announcement, Redmond, who has served as Integon's Executive-In-Charge since the company was acquired by GMAC Insurance Holdings, Inc. last year, said that Kusumi's experience in personal lines and commercial vehicle insurance made him a natural choice to head Integon.

"We are delighted to have someone of Gary's caliber to lead Integon as it enters this new chapter in its corporate life," said Redmond. "Gary has successfully demonstrated the kind of executive leadership capability that is so essential in today's business environment. He also has the management experience and expertise in personal lines insurance needed to build Integon into an even stronger insurance operation."

Most recently, Kusumi served as Chief Executive Officer for Windsor Insurance Company and President of Leader National Insurance Company, both subsidiaries of the American Financial Group.

Integon Corporation and GMAC Insurance Holdings, Inc. are wholly owned subsidiaries of General Motors Acceptance Corporation.
