J.P Morgan Units, Aetna Sell Final Travelers Holdings
J.P. Morgan & Co. announced this week that J.P. Morgan Capital Corporation, the Sixty Wall Street Fund, L.P. and Aetna Inc. have sold their remaining 8.9 million shares of Travelers Property Casualty Corp. through a registered public offering underwritten by J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. The shares were originally acquired in connection with the April 1996 acquisition of the property and casualty businesses of Aetna Inc.
An aggregate of 8,918,395 shares of Class A Common Stock, par value $0.01 per share, of Travelers Property Casualty were sold in the transaction4,270,697 shares by Aetna, 4,596,701 shares by Morgan Capital and 50,997 shares by Sixty Wall Street.
