InsWeb Signs Insurance Sponsorship with InfoSpace
InsWeb Corporation, the online insurance marketplace, has announced a marketing sponsorship with InfoSpace, an Internet information directory.
Under the agreement, InfoSpace users accessing InsWeb can get free price quotes and select policies from leading carriers offering auto and term life insurance. Consumers can access InsWeb's insurance marketplace through the sponsor bar, as well as several areas within InfoSpace, including the yellow pages, product search, investing, and classified sections.
"We're happy to be working with the leading online insurance marketplace," says Naveen Jain, president and CEO of InfoSpace. "With InsWeb becoming one of our major sponsors, we are able to provide our customers with a fast, simple approach to finding the right insurance at the right price. This is a prime example of how InfoSpace is bringing consumers and companies together through its classified and electronic commerce directories."
Marc Barach, senior vice president of consumer marketing at InsWeb, says: "InfoSpace is a great fit for InsWeb because it attracts a very large number of Web users who are actively seeking products and services. In creating this partnership, InsWeb continues its momentum of building strong relationships with well recognized, high-quality sites."
Since November 1997, InsWeb has formed partnerships with some of the leading Internet sites. Recently, InsWeb announced an exclusive partnership with Yahoo!'s new Insurance Center. Other recent partnerships include USA TODAY Online; Realtor.com; Consumers Car Club, and through that agreement, a placement on the auto channel of the navigation services, Excite and Webcrawler; BanxQuote, the Internet's leading financial network; Recycler.com, a leading provider of auto classifieds; and AllApartments, a leading apartment listing and relocation service.
