Insurance Group Renews SAM'S Club Deal

Consumer Insurance Services of America (CISA) has signed a two-year contract extension of its marketing alliance with SAM'S Club, a division of Wal-Mart Stores. The agreement calls for CISA to continue its GROUPadvantage insurance program for SAM'S Club consumer and commercial members. It also calls for the partnership to be expanded and, ultimately, offered nationwide.

Consumer Insurance, the distribution division of Insurance Holdings of America, Inc. (IHA), currently has GROUPadvantage kiosks, staffed by local independent insurance professionals, operating in 110 SAM'S Clubs in 10 states.

Consumer Insurance projects to have a GROUPadvantage kiosk offering property and casualty, commercial and life insurance products, as well as financial services, in every SAM'S Club in America by early 2001.

``This contract extension shows continued support of the GROUPadvantage program by SAM'S,'' said Brian McCarthy, chairman of Insurance Holdings. ``We're pleased with our accomplishments with SAM'S Club and look forward to completing our program rollout to all the SAM'S Clubs as soon as possible.''

Using an internet-based, fully integrated technology platform for the processing and servicing of insurance policies, CISA provides SAM'S Club, the leading membership warehouse club and largest affinity group in the United States, with a vast menu of insurance choices; choices that can be accessed not only at the SAM'S Club, but also at the GROUPadvantage professional's local office, or by contacting the GROUPadvantage Insurance Center via a toll-free phone number.
