INSpire Insurance Solutions Rolls Out Citrix for Faster Software Deployment
Citrix MetaFrame XP is an application serving platform that givesbusinesses, departments, and work groups the ability to maximize application availability so users can access applications and information they need from any device, over any connection -- wired, wireless, or Web. By using Citrix, INSpire will install its software on a small group of centralized servers rather than on users' desktops. Users will access the INSpire software through their Internet browser.
The new Citrix XP environment offers several significant advantages toINSpire's customers. INSideOUT(SM) performance is enhanced because it runs on powerful, centralized servers, rather than slower desktop resources. Also implementation time is shortened because the software does not need to be installed on multiple desktops. The application has greater clientreliability because it is securely installed on a small group of serversrather than on desktops that are more susceptible to mis-configuration,viruses and a variety of component failures. This means lower cost structures for INSpire and better performance for its customers.
The Citrix technology gives businesses greater workforce flexibilitybecause it enables users to work remotely by enabling business-lineapplications to be accessible by dial-up connections, LANs, WANs, as well as from the Internet.
