InScope

Source: Applied Systems
Applied Systems has created the InScope - Client Access Module ("InScope") as an internet application that enables an agency using the The Agency Manager or VISION series products to allow its customers to view portions of their own data with a web browser.
InScope as an Internet application that enables agencies using the TAM or VISION series products to allow their customers to view critical policy information. Customers of agents who have InScope can view policy, coverage, driver, and vehicle information. They can also see billing information including pending installments, account activity, claims, claim status, certificates of insurance and auto ID's. (Certificates and Auto ID cards can even be faxed by the user's request if the agency has an Applied "fax@vantage fax server on the network). Customers can connect to an agency's InScope server using any Internet Services Provide (e.g. AOL, MSN, etc. The agency can also allow access to the InScope server by providing a link from an existing web server that the customer may have access to, and branching from there to the InScope Server. The InScope server reveals data from the TAM and VISION products in a real-time transaction for the lines of business that exhibit the most need for around-the-clock service from an agency to its customers. Because these data requests take place in a real-time mode, there is no duplication or replication of data from the TAM and VISION database server to the InScope server. InScope also contains its own security layer, in addition to the existing security provided by the TAM and VISION products themselves. Agencies assign a separate login and password to each user that will allowed viewing access to their policy information. Each user that is given viewing access has customized setup therefore the agent can either allow the client viewing access to a specific area within InScope or deny them viewing access.
