HCC Acquires Specialty Lloyds Reinsurance Broker

Stephen L. Way, chairman and CEO of HCC Insurance Holdings says his firm has acquired Rattner MacKenzie Ltd. (RML). RML is an international Lloyds reinsurance broker, headquartered in London, that specializes in all forms of accident and health reinsurance and certain other specialty lines of business.

RML will continue to operate as an independent broker.

Way also announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Middle East Insurance Brokers Ltd., headquartered in Amman, Jordan, would be combined with RML and will be known as RML International Ltd.
