getAccess, from enCommerce, Inc., is an all-in-one web security management software product. It provides a flexible and scalable implementation for enabling selective and secure access to any Web-enabled applications by thousands of users.

When deploying applications over the Web in a large-scale extranet or Intranet, getAccess does not impose any special software requirements on the client machine and provides the following capabilities:

  • Single point of entry for all users, regardless of whether they are inside or outside the organization
  • Universal front-end to access authorized applications and resources after the user has been authenticated
  • Multiple secure ways to authenticate users, according to corporate security policies

getAccess enables a global user community with unified administration, while at the same time provides the capability to delegate different administration tasks to resource owners, group managers and help desk personnel, without compromising the system security and configuration. The simplicity of the administration Web application makes it easy for non-expert users to perform administrative tasks facilitating organizations to scale to enterprise-wide extranets, all centrally or via second-level delegated administrators.

getAccess utilizes encryption algorithms and 128-bit keys to secure users' access passwords, profile security tokens, and server authentication keys. In addition to this, all communications between servers and browsers (and between servers) are authenticated and fully encrypted to ensure data confidentiality and integrity. The product ensures that mission critical applications are always protected and available to an authorized user. Any server and component in getAccess supports redundancy allowing information system managers to configure the system to hot swap any module that fails at any time.
