Former Blanch President Cashman to Advise Aon Chair
Aon Corporation says it has appointed Michael W. Cashman, Sr., as special advisor for strategic initiatives. He will work closely with Patrick G. Ryan, Aon Corporation's chairman, president and CEO, in developing initiatives that advance Aon's culture of interdependence and extend its ability to deliver innovative client solutions around the world, the company explains.
Mr. Cashman, 49, has 22 years of experience in the reinsurance industry. In 1994, he retired from E. W. Blanch Holdings, Inc. where he was president and chief operating officer. Patrick G. Ryan, chairman, president and CEO of Aon, says, "Mike has extensive experience in the reinsurance brokerage and risk management arenas and will bring substantial insight to our team. He will play a pivotal role in developing our strategies for expanding the value our services bring to clients by building on our holistic risk management approach."
Cashman says, "I am looking forward to helping shape Aon initiatives. The company's team culture, strong leadership and exceptional talent at every level make this a unique opportunity. Aon, under the leadership of Pat Ryan, has revolutionized the insurance industry and it is exciting to be a part of that dynamic future."
