The provider states that their adoption marketing program helps businesses roll out e-billing services to customers quickly, and ensures maximum adoption by customers. With the service, businesses can enroll customers with unique IDs and passwords, offer a choice of payment by credit card or bank debit, and leverage customer information for cross-selling and up-selling opportunities. In addition, the service allows businesses to attach files, add billing administrators on-the-fly, include hyperlinks in e-mail notifications, and send automatic e-mail reminders to customers.

With this service Customers and billers can check the status of a bill online, view current and past bills, and review their payment transaction history. Customer convenience features allow users to pay immediately, schedule payments for future dates, and view the status of payments already made. Customers can be automatically notified when bills are paid, and also when a transaction does not clear.

The service also features inteBiller Console, which enables businesses to set up, modify or delete customer reports; generate reports; modify bill formats; and transfer information to and from inetBiller, putting businesses in control of their system management.

The service supports standard security protocol including SSL, 128-bit encryption, and digital certificates. It uses a flexible XML-based architecture, OFX-compliant software, LDAP-compliant directory components, and relational databases. The software is written in Java for cross-platform functionality and is CORBA-compliant for scalability.
