AnyDoc Software, the provider of automated document and data capture solutions, announced its OCR for AnyDoc software has an enhanced interface with OPEX's scanners to provide customers with advanced capture and processing capabilities not previously available. With enhanced support for the recognition and dual stream capabilities of the OPEX scanners, OCR for AnyDoc can populate a field or 'find a home' for each piece of data in the customer's ERP or backend system. This allows the customer to take advantage of data captured directly from the document image and any desired document control data added by OPEX.

OPEX's digital mailroom solution marries mail extraction with image capture, making it possible for mail to be scanned and digitized, and data captured, before it ever leaves the mailroom. With just one operator, the OPEX mail extraction and scanning system can open, extract, identify, capture, orient, sort and output mail contents to be delivered electronically to the appropriate destination. The operator simply loads the mail onto the Extraction Desk and drops the extracted documents onto a conveyor belt. OPEX's high-speed scanning component then captures, processes, sorts and outputs contents and data - eliminating the need to transport, batch prep, sort or add separator sheets between extraction and scanning.
AnyDoc Software's automated data capture and processing solution, OCR for AnyDoc, is the other player in this technology-driven dynamic duo. OCR for AnyDoc takes a scanned image and extracts the required data from the document. Working in tandem with OPEX, OCR for AnyDoc can import and utilize all of the data values created during OPEX's processing cycles - including transaction data, document ID, audit trail information and other metadata - into its own processing phases. Adding to the data captured by OPEX, AnyDoc's industry-leading techniques - including free form processing with AnyApp technology - provide best practice solutions for speed and accuracy.
