Crawford & Company Names Jamieson As Vice President-System Sales

Crawford & Company has appointed John Jamieson to the newly created position of vice president, System Sales. He will oversee marketing of all Crawford services, including property, auto, workers' compensation and general liability, as a fully integrated package. The integration of these services will be made possible later this year when Crawford deploys its new client-service software application called Nimbus.

Jeffery C. McWey, Crawford's senior executive vice president and chief business officer, says Jamieson "will help Crawford fulfill the potential that the introduction of Nimbus represents. John has unique experience and expertise to help us offer a single claims-administration solution to global corporations."

Jamieson joins Crawford from Lotus Development Corporation, where he was since 1996. At Lotus, he was director of Lotus Consulting. In this position, he was responsible for creating the company's plan for expansion in the Southeast. This expansion was based on its Lotus Domino information-systems technology product.

From 1978 to 1996, Jamieson worked for International Business Machines (IBM). In his final assignment for IBM, he was manager of Application Solutions and Multimedia for IBM's 1996 Olympic Games project office. Formerly with Peabody Wells Co., and Texaco, Inc., Jamieson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.
