Crawford & Company Announces Promos, Hires

Gary R. Lawrence, formerly a managing consultant to Towers Perrin, has been named vice president, Business Development for Atlanta-based Crawford & Company. Tara J. Wall-Shertenlieb, previously with York Marketing in New York City, is now a Crawford National Account Executive.

Thomas J. Pierce III, who was risk manager for Wachovia Bank in Atlanta, is Crawford's new director of Corporate Accounting. Andrew K. Hammons, who was assistant tax manager for Southcorp USA, is now tax manager at Crawford.

Promoted are:

• C. Lee Crowson from assistant vice president, director for Southeast Corporate Markets, to assistant vice president, director of Operations, Southern Region.
• William G. Drane from branch manager of the Atlanta branch office in Buckhead to director of Operations, Central Region.
• Tony C. Harris from manager, Mid-Range Systems, to director, Mid-Range Systems.
• James Lenahan, Jr., from director, Database Architecture, to assistant vice president, Database Architecture.
• Beth Lepper from district manager in Tampa, Florida, to director of Operations, Atlantic Region.
• James G. McFarlin from manager, Financial Services, to director, Financial Services.
• Louis J. Pagillo from vice president, assistant controller, to vice president, treasurer.
• James C. Rich from district manager to director of Operations.
• Steven W. Smith from senior project leader to director of Technical Operations.
