Corbin Recognized For Professional Development

Glenmont, NY - Dan Corbin, CPCU, CIC, LUTC has been recognized by the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and the CPCU Society to participate in its Continuing Development Program. The CPD program was adopted by the American Institute for CPCU and the CPCU Society to recognize CPCUs who participate in continuing education activities. Special criteria have been established and must be met every two years to receive the organizations' recognition. Corbin has maintained continuous qualification since 1998.

All CPCUs who are qualified and attend the CPCU Society's Annual Meeting and Seminars receive official recognition.

Corbin began his insurance career in Oceanside, CA, building an agency with Farmers Insurance Group from 1973 to 1983. For the last 12 years, he has been employed by Professional Insurance Agents Associations of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and New Hampshire as Director of Research. He is an instructor for various seminars designed to provide education to independent insurance agents and their staff. Corbin also has a regular column in the PIA Magazine and writes technical articles for the PIA Reporter for all four states.

Having successfully completed all 10 course requirements, Corbin was conferred the designation of CPCU in 1995. He also holds the Certified Insurance Counselor designation and the Life Underwriters Training Council designation.
