CNA Maritime launches OMMni - the Internet solution for Cargo Insurance
An array of other convenient services - such as report writing, claims notification, e-mail services and site demonstrations ensure that OMMni is a truly interactive product, which will be at the core of CNA Maritime's global cargo development.
Nigel Jenkins, Managing Director at CNA Maritime, commented, "As we move into the 21st Century, the face of marine cargo insurance is changing. And we at CNA Maritime intend to be at the forefront of driving that change." Fred Robertie, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, MOAC, said, "With OMMni, our customers get the real time information they need about their cargo insurance, when they need it, with none of the antiquated form filling and processes so loved by cargo insurers."
With the first phase of OMMni, the smaller cargo customer can register and get access to pre-set commodity rates and automatic underwriting resources. Customers can use their credit card when they are ready to pay their premium. An underwriter will always be available to assist the customer with this process. The second phase of OMMni, which will be available later this year, will automate the handling of annual cargo policies for all of CNA Maritime's existing customers who wish to make use of this technology - no matter what their size.
Agents and brokers can be linked via their own web sites to provide for two-way marketing. Customers that access the OMMni site directly will be automatically directed to an agent, while the agent will be able to market OMMni to their customers.
