CIGNA P&C Names New Loss Control Services Vice President

CIGNA Property & Casualty named Michael J. Billings, CSP, vice president-loss control services. In this position, Billings oversees loss control product management, as well as most of the property and casualty specialty and non-specialty loss control products and services within the United States.

Prior to joining CIGNA P&C, Billings served as executive vice president of the risk control consulting services division of Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc., a risk management services provider. He was responsible for providing loss control consulting services to clients that were self-insured or in alternative insurance markets.

Billings began his insurance career in 1973 with the St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company, serving in a variety of positions, including vice president of loss control and premium audit services. During his 22-year career with St. Paul, he specialized in field operational management, quality improvement, automated applications for loss control and premium audit, and organizational design for the delivery of those services.
