CCC Information Services Inc. announced the ability to import a damage diagnosis document from Car-O-Liner's Car-O-Tronic Electronic Measuring System directly into CCC's Pathways estimating product. The company says the ability to incorporate frame damage information in an upfront estimate will help repair shop customers get back in their cars more quickly.

CCC says repairers who have the Car-O-Tronic Electronic Measuring System with Car-O-Soft 2000 can import a damage diagnosis image as a JPEG file into Pathways estimating product via the its digital imaging capability.

Images can be imported from the hard drive or from a floppy disk. Either way, repairers will be able to provide a detailed, accurate and complete file back to their insurance partners.

"The additional ability for repairers to accurately detail damage on a vehicle and communicate that information back to the insurance company means the damage will get estimated correctly the first time," stated Jim Dickens, group vice president, Automotive Services Division at CCC. "Getting the right information from Car-O-Liner up front and incorporating that with the claim file ultimately reduces the time spent trying to settle the claim."

Car-O-Liner's President Larry Carter said, "With our compatible technologies, we are providing a solid solution to collision repairers that helps them do their job better. With collision repair becoming more advanced, this seamless transfer of information also provides an efficient workflow process that many collision repairers need to efficiently send and receive information from insurance partners, improve DRP relationships and provide superior customer service."

Car-O-Liner AB, a Swedish company owned by the Zeteco group, makes collision repair systems for the global market. CCC Information Services, headquartered in Chicago, is a supplier of software and communications systems for the auto claims business.
