CCC, Hewlett-Packard To Deliver Mobile Office Technology To Auto Claims Industry

CCC Information Services, Inc. says it will work with Hewlett-Packard to create and deliver mobile technology solutions for both auto insurance and repair facility professionals. At the 16th annual International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE) in Dallas, the companies showcased hardware and software solutions under development and solicited feedback from attendees to further enhance these solutions.

Mark Bratlie, Hewlett-Packard's channel partner manager, says, "Hewlett-Packard is excited to be working with CCC to develop mobile technology solutions. CCC's clients look to CCC to introduce new technologies to improve their effectiveness, and it was a wonderful opportunity to present our joint solutions for the first time at NACE."

"At CCC's Industry Conference this fall, our clients told us they were very interested in wireless communications tools, pen-based computers, sunlight-viewable screens, vehicle and document image capture and sharing, vehicle diagnostic tools and multiple-function field office equipment," said John Buckner, CCC's Automotive Services Division president. "Our partnership with HP is a direct result of those requests.

"More than any other provider, Hewlett-Packard understands the needs of the mobile professional," Buckner added. "By combining our experience in the insurance and repair industries with HP's expertise in mobile technology, we are confident we will deliver an integrated solution that will maximize productivity in the field, reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction."
