Buro Named VP for National Atlantic Co.
Marc V. Buro, a former high-level official in the New Jersey State Department of Banking and Insurance, has been named vice president of product and program development for the National Atlantic Insurance Cos., parent corporation of the Proformance Insurance Co. in Freehold, NJ.
James V. Gorman, chairman and CEO, said Buro, will work to expand the scope of National Atlantic Cos. product offerings by developing new business initiatives and insurance programs and by spearheading the company's efforts to enter new states.
Buro comes to National Atlantic from The Robert Plan Corp., where he was a vice president and assistant to the COO for three years.
Prior to that, Buro was director of legislative affairs for the State Department of Banking and Insurance for three years.
His background also includes serving as a policy advisor for the New Jersey State Assembly Banking and Insurance Committee and as an aide to former U.S. Congressman James Courter.
Buro is a graduate of Rutgers University with a bachelor's degree in political science.
