Bill Nelson to Participate At NCCI Workers Compensation Symposium
The National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) has announced that Florida State Insurance Commissioner Bill Nelson will be a participant at the Council's Annual Workers Compensation Issues Symposium, on April 7 and 8 in Orlando, Florida.
A former member of the Florida House of Representatives and the United States Congress, Mr. Nelson has served as Treasurer and Insurance Commissioner for the State of Florida since 1995. He has a distinguished and active record of public service.
"We are delighted to have Commissioner Nelson participate," said NCCI President and CEO David A. Kocher. "His knowledge and experience as a statewide elected official will serve our conference attendees well."
Nelson will moderate a panel of industry chief executives who will discuss key elements and strategies for building a successful operation. The CEO Panel will meet at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 8.
Other program highlights include sessions on developing legislation and discussion regarding the impact of new welfare laws on the workers compensation system. This year's keynote speakers are former New Jersey Senator Bill Bradley and columnist and political pundit George Will.
NCCI's Annual Workers Compensation Issues Symposium affords industry professionals, regulatory and legislative officials, consumers, agents, attorneys and the general public a thorough analysis of workers compensation issues. The symposium this year features leading industry experts, who offer new and comprehensive information on trends and recent developments.
