Berkley Appoints New Senior Vice President

W.R. Berkley Corporation recently appointed Robert P. Cole to the position of Senior Vice President. Cole will assume responsibility for four of the company's regional insurance companies as well as remain responsible for the outgoing reinsurance programs of all of the company's insurance and reinsurance subsidiaries.

Reporting to Cole will be: American West Insurance Company, Continental Western Insurance Company, Tri-State Insurance Company of Minnesota, and Union Standard Insurance Company.

Cole joined the company as a vice president in 1996. Prior to Berkely, he was a senior officer of Folksamerica Reinsurance Company and was associated with other insurers and reinsurers for twenty years. He received a B.B.A. degree from The University of North Florida, Jacksonville, Florida.
