Benoski Named Director, Vice Chair of Cincinnati Financial Boards
At a November 19 meeting of Cincinnati Financial Corp.'s three property and casualty insurance subsidiary boards, Senior Vice President James Benoski was appointed to the additional posts of vice chairman of those boards, member of their executive committee and their chief insurance officer.
The boards' actions make him a director of all of the companies in the property and casualty group, which include The Cincinnati Insurance Company, The Cincinnati Indemnity Company and The Cincinnati Casualty Company.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John J. Schiff, Jr., CPCU, said, ``Jim's perspective as an insurance executive should assure consistency and continuity as the board looks forward. The Company's claims philosophy and claims operations, which he leads, are fundamental strengths that differentiate us in the marketplace and give our agents an advantage in serving policyholders. In addition, this appointment provides for an able executive to preside at meetings of the board, in the event that the chairman could not preside.''
Benoski served in the Company's field claims operations in Alabama 1971 through 1973, when he joined the headquarters staff in Cincinnati. He was promoted to vice president in 1983 and to senior vice president and manager of the headquarters claims department in 1996. He has also served as a director of The Cincinnati Casualty Company since 1987.
Schiff said, ``Our agents, associates and shareholders are doubly fortunate to have Jim's leadership of our insurance companies in this broader role, along with the benefit of his continued service as manager of our claims department.''
