Associated Industries Insurance Company, Inc. Expands Into The State Of Georgia

Associated Industries Insurance Company, Inc. (AIIC) has been granted a license to write workers' comp insurance in the state of Georgia. "This represents a very significant step in the company's plans to become a regional carrier since our conversion to a non-assessable stock insurance company in 1996," says Jon L. Shebel, president and CEO. "We are very proud of this achievement because it clearly signals the level of confidence the Georgia Department of Insurance has in AIIC's abilities, especially when other domestic workers' comp companies in Florida are experiencing such turbulent times."

AIIC is implementing what it calls a "gradual and controlled move into the Georgia market," with an initial focus on Florida employers with Georgia operations. Once the company establishes its reputation for quality and service, it says, it will expand its marketing efforts. Additionally, AIIC says it will remain committed to the independent agency system for its distribution channel and plans to appoint qualified agents in Georgia shortly.

The company is also looking at expanding into several other states and presently has applications pending with the Alabama and Mississippi Departments of Insurance.
