Arthur J. Gallagher Acquires Two Gow & Hanna Companies

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. says it has acquired Gow & Hanna, Inc. of Upstate New York and Gow & Hanna, Inc. of Connecticut. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.

Gow & Hanna specializes in creating risk management programs, property/casualty insurance products, and loss control and claims consulting services. Timothy Gow will continue as area executive vice president of the Buffalo operation under the direction of Denis Duran, area president of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. of New York. Woodrow M. Baird will continue to operate in Hartford as area executive vice president under the direction of Richard Penni, area president of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. of Massachusetts.
