Arkwright Mutual Joins IIC
Established in 1850, Arkwright insures property for a variety of manufacturing and service industries, including chemical, communications, energy, food, forest products, glass, metal, pharmaceutical and technology industries, as well as public entities, educational institutions, hospitals and non-profit organizations.
"Recent growth in capital expenditures in many countries increases demand for property protection and insurance coverage," said William J. Poutsiaka, Arkwright president and chief executive officer. "Arkwright is a recognized leader among the risk management providers servicing the needs of companies who have expanded into these countries."
"Currently, we are working hard to deliver our expertise in a local format through employees and partners. Our membership in the IIC supports these efforts and enables us to become an active participant to build trade and offer appropriate risk management protection to those global communities," Poutsiaka said.
The IIC, based in Washington, DC, was founded by U.S. insurers involved in international trade. The Council works to foster open markets for international insurance and to promote the interests of the international insurance industry.
