N/Aoup, Inc. has announced the availability of Version 2.0 of its Extranet service, AonLine, an innovative, cost-effective network of electronic risk management tools and services. Version 2.0 includes many new interactive and analytical tools developed with input from the service's current subscriber base of more than 100 client organizations.

The service also capitalizes on the latest developments in Internet-based applications. From a single integrated access point, AonLine Version 2.0 offers many exclusive features to help risk managers better manage risk such as:

  • Instant access to risk portfolio status including policies, exposures, bonds, claims, certificates of insurance and other proprietary data.
  • Interactive, collaborative groupware tools that track the status of large projects.
  • Proactive alert features that deliver breaking news of potentially catastrophic political, economic or weather activities.
  • A substantial library of common forms and templates, including a full array from <%=company%>.
  • Immediate access to A.M. Best and other financial rating services.
  • Best-in-class content from leading authorities, including OSHA compliance groupware and litigation management services.
  • Access to proprietary Aon research and analysis tools, including a regulatory database covering more than 160 countries.

A number of technical enhancements have made AonLine Version 2.0 what the company describes as "more flexible and responsive to each organization's specific needs." For instance, users can personalize their service, putting the most relevant topic areas right at their fingertips. Another enhancement is "cascading security," which enables risk managers to control access to proprietary or other confidential areas of their AonLine sites.

Among AonLine's active subscribers is CSX Corporation, the large international transportation company, which uses AonLine to quickly access the company's current risk data, as well as look up vital regulatory information. "Our risk management operations are spread among a number of locations," says Walter Tyler, manager of risk management, who is based in Jacksonville, Florida, for CSX Corporation. "AonLine allows CSX's risk management professionals to instantly access the same, up-to-date data, no matter where they are located. AonLine saves us time, and gives us valuable information electronically that we can't get anywhere else."

AonLine is being featured at the Aon booth, #1535, at the Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc. (RIMS) annual conference.
